Belly Dancer, Tanaya, performs the beautiful and mesmerizing art of Oriental Dance, and her exhilarating show and sophisticated skill of authenticity will add the 'wow' factor to any event or function.
Having traveled extensively to many Middle Eastern and North African countries as a child, the magic, exotic aromas and vibrant colours of these mysterious lands made a huge impact and have influenced much of what Tanaya does and enjoys today.
Not only has she danced as a professional entertainer for many years, but Tanaya has also studied the art with many respected leaders in belly dance both locally and internationally, such as; Lindie Lila, Tenille Lindeque, Natasha Wells Van Der Merve, Ajsa Samia, Leyla Nahrawess, Tamalyn Dallal, Mahmoud Reda, and in 2009 she returned from Bali where she attended the third and final level of Hadia’s Middle Eastern dance teacher training courses as well as an intensive dance training course. More recently she attended the 2013 Ahlan Wa Sahlan Oriental Dance Festival in Cairo, Egypt that is hosted annually by Madame Raqia Hassan. This year she attended workshops with Jillina and Heather Aued from the Belly Dance Superstars.
As well as training with these masters in the art form, Tanaya continues her education by participating in as many workshops, given by international stars, as her busy schedule will allow.
Stirring music, dazzling costumes, an array of props and Tanaya’s dancing all combine to deliver unrivaled entertainment.
